Review: The Long War

The Long War by Terry Pratchett

The long... are not so much a set of books but a book and this part of the book was pretty nice. Fun part is that I am relaxed and interested but not really entangled in the story. It has some good parts and the narrative is excellent but it is a relaxed thing of the mind rather than the heart. And characters like Lobsang, the living computer and reincarnated motorcycle-repairman from Tibet....

Such a delight to read. I wasn't convinced by the first book but it had potential. This one was so much better. Mad, absurd and constantly jumping between the small stuff and the end of the world. Great fun and really nice
